The Times Bulletin, a five-day award-winning Brown Publishing newspaper and website in Van Wert, Ohio, is looking for an energetic, self-motivated sports editor to join its staff. The right candidate will possess strong grammar skills, be able to meet deadlines, update our website and be able to manage a stringer corps. Page design is mandatory so a thorough knowledge of Quark and Photoshop is encouraged. The Times Bulletin covers five area high schools and produces a regional sports magazine three times per year which covers 37 high schools in six counties. The Times Bulletin also produces two daily newscasts with a sports section so the right candidate must also feel as comfortable in front of the camera performing interviews as behind it shooting clips.
In addition, the sports editor will be a panelist on a half-hour weekly sports webcast which appears on several websites as well as local cable access.
